LIPOFILLING
What is lipofilling and how long does the result last
Lipofilling is a cosmetic surgery procedure that allows you to reshape the body, increasing the volume of areas emptied after sucking a quantity of fat from a donor area. In the case of lipofilling, therefore, the body fat is treated, centrifuged, and then reintroduced into the body district as a filler, despite being a substance produced in a completely natural way by the patient’s body. Precisely for this reason, the risk of intolerance or any reactions to the substance introduced into the body is significantly reduced and wound healing and tissue repair are favoured and accelerated.
Buttocks, breast, face: where lipofilling can be performed
More and more people decide to undergo a lipofilling treatment, to give more volume and improve the aesthetics of:
Face
in particular to volumize the lips, redesign the face, define the cheekbones, cheeks and chin, and smooth out wrinkles
Breast
when drooping or slightly protruding
Buttocks
Calves
The profile of the body can alter dueto various factors, including ageing, continuous fluctuations in weight or drastic and excessive weight loss, stress and continuous exposure to solar or artificial UV radiation.
Face lipofilling
The face and neck undergo a natural alteration over the years, due to ageing: the skin loses elasticity, the adipose tissue atrophies and the muscle masses become thinner. he consequence of these changes is the appearance of wrinkles, depressions and furrows. In addition, the contours of the face become less defined. These imperfections can be corrected with face lipofilling.
During this procedure, the fat is transferred and used to restore the volume lost due to ageing to determine areas of the face. The adipose tissue contains a large number of stem cells, therefore the lipofilling of the face has a regenerating effect for the tissues, which results in a greater shine of the skin.
Lipofilling: how long did the result last
Since the filler used during the lipofilling procedure is the adipose tissue taken directlyfrom the patient’s body, the results are semi-permanent, unlike those that can be obtained with procedures that use hyaluronic acid and collagen. The latter are substances that are completely reabsorbed and which, therefore, guarantee a rejuvenating effect for a maximum of 2 years. In the case of lipofilling, on the other hand, the percentage of transplanted fat, which is then reabsorbed,is equal to a maximum of 40: this data indicates, however, that three fat injections are required to obtain the maximum result and effect after 6 months.
After lipofilling, definitive results can be observed 3 months later.
