Removing tattoos with a laser
How can tattoos be removed? The best solution is the laser. While in the past, erasing a tattoo was an extremely painful and even risky practice, as the techniques were invasive and left marked scars, today it is easier and the skin does not deteriorate.
Remove a laser tattoo
The laser shatters the pigment granules of the ink, reduces them into particles of such small size as to make them digestible by the macrophage cells of the skin. During the treatment, the fabrics adjacent to the tattooed ones have safeguarded: the thermal effectaffects only the pigment.
The effectiveness of the removal of tattoos depends on several factors, including the extent of the area to be treated, the coloursused and the depth that the needles have reached. In addition, older tattoos are easier to remove than recent and colourfulones: in particular, the most difficult tints to remove are red, white and yellow.
Removing tattoos: before and after
Removing a tattoo with a laser is a treatment that causes bearable pain: it is comparable to the prick of a pin. In the days following the removal, the skin appears dark and covered by a small skin: it falls off by itself and gives way to the new layer of the epidermis, devoid of pigment.
The results of the tattoo removal procedure are very satisfactory, however,it is important to know that the laser to remove tattoos may be ineffective if:
The tattoo is recent
The tattoo contains an excessive amount of pigment
The tattoo is in colours such as yellow and blue
Thetattoo is in delicate areas of the body such as the backs of the soles and hands, the neck and the face.
Erasing tattoos leaves no scars as the laser always and only acts on the pigment, shattering it. This is not a quick procedure, since more than one session is required and it is good that they are spaced a couple of months apart: the more time passes between one session and another, the better the final result.
